Description
Bronze medals like this were awarded to those who completed the Fifth Annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, held on April 24, 2005. This medal was dedicated to Dominique London. Some runners chose to run in honor of a victim, and often leave tokens behind on the chairs as a way of paying tribute to those for whom they have run. A medallion such as this represents the end result of a great deal of work and preparation on the part of the runner, and to leave it behind represents a sizable emotional sacrifice.
