This videotape comes from KFOR, Channel 4 of Oklahom City. It contains reports on the process of making the Memorial a National Landmark. Included on the tape are segments with Bob Johnson, Governor Keating and others touring the site of the future Memorial; a story about Dick Cheney helping with fundraising; the Mission Statement plaque; footage of Congressional hearings; the five design finalists; the Design Competition; an interview with Bud Welch; a speech from Janet Reno at an Anti-Terrorism conference; an NBC news report on the Congressional debate over anti-terrorism legislation; Bill Clinton signing the anti-terrorism bill; groundbreaking; Janet Reno and Al Gore at the groundbreaking; interviews with Raymond Washburn and Rashell Hammons; moving the Memorial Fence and the evening candlelight vigil afterward; groundbreaking speeches by Frank Keating, Janet Reno and Al Gore. |
