He discusses the adoption of the mission statement for the Memorial; the process of choosing a Memorial design, outpouring of support and interest from children, selecting a design, voting; local and international reaction to the process; Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT); design of the Memorial Center; Survivor Tree; healing nature of the Memorial Process; violence prevention; the importance of taking terrorism seriously, participation in counter-terrorism, nonviolent resolutions, helping others in times of tragedy; and the 168 Days Campaign.
