| These photographs document the construction of the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial and the Survivor Tree. In order to hold the floor of the promontory away from the roots of Survivor Tree, dozens of pilings were carefully set to not disturb the roots and yet to hold the base of the promontory off of the ground. A detailed list of the photographs follows.
